The doors of The Down Syndrome Centre Cork first opened in March 2017 and the small team here have since established the centre as a place where children with Down syndrome can thrive. The aim of the centre is to practically help their service users enjoy the most fulfilling and independent lives possible.
- Therapies – Speech & Language Therapy (SLT), Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy.
- SKIP – Special Kids Intervention Program – a class that prepares children for school
- Bi-monthly talks / Seminars – topics to include; education, nutrition, financial planning and behavioural issues
